Tattoo Aftercare

· Leave the bandage on for 24 hours

· Remove the bandage and gently wash any dried blood and plasma off your tattoo. plasma may be slimy and may contain color, (that does not mean you are losing color). Plasma picks up color as it passes through your skin. Wash your tattoo with unscented soap, and rinse with WARM water. You will need to dry off your tattoo but DO NOT use a towel PAT dry with paper towel DO NOT rub or be to abrasive.

· Allow the tattoo to dry for 24 hours(no lotion)

· Wash your hands, then rub a small amount of unscented lotion to your tattoo. (no Polysporin)

·  Apply the lotion sparingly; use only enough to keep the tattoo hydrated. Keeping your tattoo moist is important but DO NOT over do it by globing it on.

· Wash your tattoo, Especially if you notice dirt, fuzzies, or pet hair stuck to your tattoo. This is especially important cause any of these can cause serious infection to a fresh tattoo so please be warned!

· After 4-6 days, you will notice colored flaking. DO NOT PANIC, this is only the top layer of skin exfoliating.(OR A SHINE TO THE TATTOO)

· Keep applying LOTION as necessary to keep it moist and looking good until the tattoo is completely healed (this will vary from person to person)

· Total healing time will vary from 2-6 weeks, depending on your overall health and aftercare.

AVOID

Abrasion, tight clothing rubbing on your tattoo as tight clothing can cause serious irritation, pet hair, dirt, saltwater, swimming pools, soaking, saunas, direct sunlight, tanning, other peoples body fluids, sleeping on your tattoo, hydrogen peroxide, any picking, scratching, or and friends and family advice if it differs from this information.
